We purchased a condo in PCB FL and had a hard time finding a mortgage due to the condo being classified as a "condo-tel". Eddie was referred to us by another lender and we couldn't have been happier. Processed loan and closed in 6 business days after I was turned down by 4 mortgage companies. 

 

My landlord told me I had to purchase the condo I loved and had been renting long term by the end of the year or move out.  I had fair credit, not 20% down, a Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure 5 years ago, and tax liens less than 7 years ago still on my credit record.  My condo association would only accept conventional mortgages.  I had been turned down by 4 mortgage companies including internet and local and I was ready to start packing when I did a Google search on - Can you purchase a condo in Florida without 20% down?  First Financial website popped up, I started reading and started to get some hope.  I filled out the online application on their website and before I was done within minutes Eddie called me. From there it was amazing, my landlord was selling it by owner and neither of us had a real estate agent or an attorney.  Eddie talked me through the whole process, morning, afternoon, and evening with calls and texts; he was always available.  First Financial team processed my loan from that desperate day I applied WITHIN 6 BUSINESS DAYS.  It was amazing, still can't believe it's true.  We were scheduled to close on December 30th one day before my landlords deadline when Eddie called to tell me the loan was finalized and we could close the week before Christmas.  I would highly recommend them to anyone for their attention and support through the whole process from application to close.  Don't give up until you've talked to Eddie and their team.

Hello my name is Karen Hazelwood my husband Kevin and I recently bought a home in February of 2015. After a very stressful start due to my own fault I luckily found Eddie with First Florida Financial and he was able to come in and make everything go smoothly and he was there for me around the clock. I looked for a mortgage on lending tree and was matched with Quicken loans who gave my husband and me a preapproval for $150,000. After weeks of looking we found a house and put in an offer. Everything started to fall apart there. First the offer was almost turned down because the realtor for the seller didn’t want to work with quicken. The seller went ahead and accepted the offer and then on New Year’s Eve I received a call that the underwriters refused our mortgage. After freaking out that we were going to lose the deal after weeks of house hunting luckily my realtor put me in contact with Eddie. On New Year’s Eve he was able to get our preapproval done and get our paperwork started same day with us. We ended up not buying that house since it failed inspection and Eddie kept in constant contact with us while we were continuing to hunt and even was able to get us a preapproval of $200,000 so we could look for a bigger home for our growing family. I would email him or even text him when I had questions about payments or what if we offered on a house how the deal should be structured. We found the home of our dreams and put in an offer and Eddie had the deal set up to even help us with closing costs and got us a closing in a month. Every step of the way with First Florida Financial was smooth they told us what forms they needed and we just signed it at home, scanned it and emailed it back to them. I got calls updating us on where we were in the process the whole way. Our interest rate they got us was so good when we went to Bank of America to get money for closing cost they tried asking if they could have serviced us better we told them our rate and the girl said “wow I haven’t’ heard of that low” . The day of closing Eddie was in constant contact with us letting us know what we needed for closing table and how the HUD was coming. The original HUD was done and the seller agreed expenses had been included on our side and he caught it and had it fixed for us. I can’t express how much we loved working with this group, everything went great and smooth. My only regret after everything is said and done is that I didn’t find them first and I had to deal with quicken at all. If Eddie tells you your approved that is what he means and their interest rates are lower than anyone and if you email them you will get a response soon after.
